Confessions of a Treasured Life…

The opportunity to photograph a family friend who just celebrated graduating High School presented itself to me, and I was absolutely honored to be behind the lens capturing these beautiful portraits. This young lady is one of kind in that she has a remarkable presence about her, she has a mind of her own that is well matured beyond its age, and she is filled with such grace that when she leaves a room everyone has noticed her elegance. I feel so very fortunate to be able to share the moments we recorded at White Rock Lake over the weekend. Here is to Kristin as we celebrate her, and as she prepares to embark on the next beautiful chapter of her life!

“Realize that true happiness lies within you.  Waste no time and effort searching for peace and contentment and joy in the world outside.  Remember that there is no happiness in getting, but only in giving.  Reach out.  Share.  Smile.  Hug.  Happiness is a perfume you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself.”  ~ Og Mandino

“We’d never know how high we are ’till we are called to rise; and then, if we are true to plan, our statures touch the sky.” ~ Emily Dickinson

“The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.”  ~ Joseph Campbell

“At the heart of each of us, whatever our imperfections, there exists a silent pulse of perfect rhythm, a complex of wave forms and resonances which is absolutely individual and unique, and yet which connects us to everything in the universe.”
~ George Leonard

“Kindness is more important than wisdom, and the recognition of this is the beginning of wisdom.” ~ Theodore Isaac Rubin

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined. ~ Henry David Thoreau
